Our work environment is inclusive and positive. All our staff are recruited based on our values, their love of construction, and they still know how to have a bit of fun along the way, always keeping TK Constructions morale high.
Tom Kelly
Since finishing his carpentry apprenticeship when he was 17, Tom spent years working as a sole trader in Victoria, NT, Miami, as well as out in various remote communities in Australia. He has a deep love for building and is very passionate about the quality of his work. He also believes strongly in having fun along the way! He has built a great network of repeat clients, subcontractors, and suppliers here in Darwin over the last few years and TK Constructions has grown into a company with a staff of 17 comprised of mostly multi skilled carpenters and 8 apprentices.
Shir Kelly
Coming from a multilingual and multicultural background, Shir has been in the NT the last 10 years assisting Tom with TK Constructions while working full time for an Indigenous Employment Provider as Business Development Manager. She was also executive assistant to the Managing Director of the Karen Sheldon Group in that time. She is very passionate about Indigenous employment and has spent much of her time in Darwin helping companies including TK Constructions build their Indigenous workforce. Her background career experience is in marketing, radio, translations, hospitality, and sales.
